Bank of Internet has some fairly competitive CD rates available at the moment. They used to offer a yield of 5.47% APY on CDs from 24 to 29 months and 36 to 47 months, but with the recent interest rate cut their rates have dropped a bit. Their highest CD rate is 5.36 for a 5 year certificate of deposit. Minimum deposit on all CDs is $1,000. Maximum is $100,000.

BofI is one of the oldest online-only banks. In addition to it’s CDs, it also has some nice checking accounts, especially for seniors, with a rate of 3.75%. There are no minimum balance requirements or monthly fees. It offers free checks and ATM reimbursements of up to $8/month.
